Fairlight PTA aims to support our school to provide an excellent education and help every child achieve. We want all of our children to thrive and enjoy their school experience as much as possible! All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the PTA. If you would like to be more involved (for example, by organising fun events or helping with fundraising) then please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!

Discos
This term we held our first school discos since we formed a new PTA committee. We really hope the children enjoyed these, and would like to give a huge THANK YOU to our amazing DJ, and Fairlight parent, Rob at Stick It On! We are planning to have more discos in the summer term and are working on increasing the number of tickets available, as we know not everyone was able to get one this time. If you have any more suggestions, please drop us an email.
Thanks
We have had some very generous donations recently from local businesses, and would like to publicly extend our thanks! Q Estate Agents (https://qsalesandlettings.co.uk) have generously supported Fairlight for a number of years, and have recently given £500 to go towards our garden and outdoor space. Plus Accounting (https://www.plusaccounting.co.uk/) have very kindly donated £325 so that we can purchase Numicon resources for our new starters in September 2024.
Raffle, quiz and Brighton 10km
We will be holding a raffle in March. We already have some fantastic prizes donated by local businesses. If you are in a position to donate a prize, please do let us know. Details of how to buy tickets will follow soon.
On 7th April, a group of Fairlight parents will be running the Brighton 10km! Your support would be massively appreciated – run with us, sponsor us using the GoFundMe page below, or come and give us a cheer from the sidelines, if you can!
The Lewes Road Inn have kindly offered to host a Fairlight PTA pub quiz! Date and time to be confirmed, but start working on your team names, and please keep an eye on Ping for details.
Spring fair
On Friday 22nd March, please join us for a spring fair in the playground straight after school. We will have chocolate and teddy tombolas, face painting and glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle (weather-permitting!), school tea towels, pre-loved school uniform, books, snacks and drinks. If you can run an activity or help on a stall, we would be really happy to hear from you (contact details below).
Fundraising update
Below are some details of what we have recently raised as a school community (totals are approximate):

Thank you SO much for supporting these efforts! We were happy to provide chocolate treats for the brilliant Santa Dash in December. In March we will be having a PTA committee meeting and liaising with the school about how PTA money raised so far can be used to best support our children’s education and well-being.
